Don’t forget y’all that there’s a much better way for us to let Tumblr know what we think about specific changes, rather than @ ing staff or wip, and it’s sending in a support ticket and choosing feedback!
Tumblr reverted some of the asinine app decisions they made after a concerted feedback effort! So make sure to use this form! It’s what it’s for, but it’s not well advertised!
i don’t know if this truly means anything, but I submitted a support ticket about the dashboard change earlier this evening and received this response (please excuse the bottom of the video I was watching soz):

[ID: Screenshot of an email from “Chris (tumblr)” sent July 19, 2023, 8:22 pm. It reads “Hello, Thanks for reaching out to Tumblr Community Support and sharing your thoughts on the new dashboard layout. We often test new ways to make tumblr better. It sounds like your account may have been selected to experience a test of one of these improvements. Thanks for your patience while we work on this! You may see your tumblr experience return to normal as we continue testing. Kind regards,” the rest of the sign-off was cut off in the screenshot. End ID.]
Wants to be snarky about this being an “improvement” aside…I can’t say for sure if we can take that at face value but it seems to imply this might not be a permanent change. If you don’t like the new layout either, l suggest you increase the chance of this being temporary by helping us cause a stink and sending in that support ticket if you haven’t yet.
is this even funny i dont think its funny im not putting it in the tags
How has this comic made such a groundbreaking cultural impact without getting over 40k notes
after inputting some complex algorithms into my super computer i’ve determined what tumblr will look like in the year 2020
i love how this comes back after every shitty update staff makes
